Executive Manager – Brand Management

The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) was incorporated under the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers Ordinance, Chapter 1105 of the Laws of Hong Kong in 1975. The Institution sets standards for the training and admission of engineers and has strict rules governing its members’ conduct. Major Duties:
Oversee the formulation and implementation of the Institution’s branding, engagement and publicity strategies across traditional and digital communication channels, including its publications, website and social media platforms

Drive brand exposure to elevate and reinforce the Institution’s positive image

Act as the Institution’s content gatekeeper, ensuring that the content, tone and presentation of all publicity materials align with its professional image

Guide and supervise team members in creating content across communication platforms and ensure quality delivery

Independently undertake website content updates and basic web coding, as well as photography, photo editing, video filming and editing, to support the Institution’s branding and publicity acitivities

Provide administrative support to Committees, Task Forces and Working Groups

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communication, Advertising, New Media, Marketing or a related discipline

At least 6 years of relevant experience in creating compelling and engaging content in advertising, marketing or corporate communications

Solid experience in managing digital media channels

Hands-on knowledge of HTML, CSS and website content management systems, with the ability to carry out routine website updates and basic coding independently

Practical skills in photography, photo editing, video filming and editing, with the ability to independently produce publication-ready photographs and videos for digital platforms

Confident in providing creative direction and evaluating written, visual and video content

Excellent writing skills in both English and Chinese

Strong leadership skills, with the ability to lead and coach team members and collaborate with internal stakeholders and external parties to deliver accurate, high-quality work on time

Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and perform under pressure
