1. Training and Employee involvement:

2. Conduct safety Induction program for all new entrants and continuous training programs for all employees working in the plant

3. Conduct Mock drills on Emergency situations

4. Attend safety meetings in the plant and closing safety points of such meetings

5. Conduct Safety round and sharing observation report on daily basis

6. Conduct and ensure Tool box talk for all employees

7. Ensure safety communication arrangements through Displays, Safety Signs, In House Magazines, Safety Literature, Annual Plant Safety Performance Report etc

8. Involvement in safety goal/target setting, Improvement project, Safety Suggestion Scheme, Safety Promotional activities etc

9. Maintain training and competency level required to manage and maintain equipment and perform testing per the appropriate standards and procedures

10. Safety Audits and Inspections

11. Ensure statutory inspection for all lifting tools& tackles and pressure vessels through third party

12. Conduct non statutory inspections for the plant

13. Comply ESS and GRC portal

14. Participation in safety audits and implementation of corrective and preventive actions CAPA for points of safety audits

15. Involvement in the process of hazard identification and risk assessment

16. Conduct Job safety analysis for construction activities

17. Involvement in statutory assessment of contractor from safety point of view

18. Controlling contractors through regular monitoring, reward & penalty system and performance review of Contractor

19. Inspect all safety equipment and maintain them in good manner

20. Safety and fire Control system

21. Ensure good health of safety guards, safety interlocks, hand tools and power tools in the plant

22. Ensure 100% compliance with work permit system and safe isolation procedure

23. Study and control hazardous substances in the plant

24. Procurement and maintain personal protective equipment in the plant

25. Monitoring noise, ventilation and dust in the workplace

26. Inspection of electrical equipment and installation

27. Ensure fire risk of hazardous area in the plant

28. Ensure maintenance of firefighting equipment and documentation

29. Ensure healthiness of fire alarm system

30. Train employees on emergency planning

31. Safety performance & measurement

32. Report all incidents including near miss on ESS

33. Ensure investigation of all incidents including near miss

34. Maintain data of incident trend analysis

35. Recognizing and Managing Potential Loss Areas

36. Workplace safety

37. Ensure hygiene of workplace

38. Ensure safety display in the plant

39. Ensure 5S in the plant

40. Handling Fire Fighting system

41. Risk assessment, Hazop study, Factories Act, FMEA, legal frameworks for safety

42. Interlocks and their operation, fire hydrant systems, maintenance of fire hydrant systems, fire extinguishers and their operation

43. Process Safety Management

44. Ensure to sets and enforces the legal and technical requirements for PSM

45. Ensure to provide guidance and support for the implementation and improvement of PSM

46. Support in inspections, audits, and investigations to verify the compliance and performance of the organization

47. Inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential risks

48. Works with corporate safety and refining technical groups to develop goals, standards, policies, work practices and expectations regarding corporate process safety management PSM program

49. Be responsible for the ownership for execution of projects and action items related PSM

50. Ensure all changes to processes are controlled through Management of Change and Pre-Startup Safety Review procedures

51. Behavior Base Safety BBS

52. Ensure to focus attention on workers behavior as the cause of most work-related

injuries and illnesses

1. Develop BBS checklist isa direct-observation tool used to recognize safe behavior

and eliminate the root cause of unsafe acts

1. Covering 100 % employees for induction
2. No violation with permit / LOTO system
3. 100 % reporting of incidents
4. Attending assigned safety meetings
5. Minimum 2 TBT in a day
6. Participation in assigned HIRA
7. 1 man-day/ year

15. Complete process safety reviews and develop recommendations for addressing process safety issues
16. Provide risk assessment through the use of risk analysis techniques and tools
17. Maintain and apply knowledge of current policies, regulations, and industrial processes
18. Conduct or coordinate worker training in areas such as safety laws and regulations, hazardous condition monitoring, and use of safety equipment
19. Investigate industrial accidents, injuries, or occupational diseases
20. Recommend process and product safety features that will reduce employees exposure to work hazards
21. Compile, analyze, and interpret statistical data related to occupational illnesses and accidents
22. Review employee safety programs to determine their adequacy
23. Provide coaching to plants on identification and resolution of process safety issues
