EXECUTIVE PROCUREMENT

About the role

This role is responsible for all procurement activities, including new sourcing of vendor parts, fabricated parts, sub-assemblies, and CMO, as well as cost-down activities. The role ensures material is sourced for the best price with required quality from the right supplier, while adhering to procurement and purchasing processes according to ISO standards and company policy.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all procurement activities including new sourcing of vendor parts, fabricated parts, sub-assemblies, CMO and cost-down activities
• Establish and follow procurement and purchasing processes as per ISO Standard and Purchasing Policy
• Facilitate and coordinate best practice on supplier selection, negotiation and contract initiation
• Review quotations from suppliers and manage supplier selection based on criteria and guidelines
• Manage FAI/EVT orders until completion and SAP transactions involving sourcing activities
• Ensure material is sourced for the best price with required quality at the right supplier
• Ensure SAP records are set with correct information regarding source and prices
• Ensure all Supply Change Request (SCR) forms are timely raised via webtool and approved before updating changes in SAP
• Participate in Quarterly Business Reviews and share results with key suppliers
• Propose alternative suppliers and processes to minimize business risk or achieve cost improvement
• Involve in new supplier visits, selection and registration

About you

• Minimum bachelor's degree in business administration, mechanical engineering, production technology or electrical engineering with 3 years relevant working experience
• Good knowledge of MS Office, especially MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Word
• Good knowledge of common ERP systems (SAP knowledge is an added advantage)
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Good knowledge of production technology (fabrication manufacturing process)
• Good knowledge of system automation equipment concepts
• Good knowledge of procurement and negotiation techniques
• Understanding of technical drawings and GDT (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
• Understanding of cleanroom processes
• Understanding of Incoterms
