Executive - Research & Development

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate regularly with customers and sales teams to understand their requirements and make necessary product development changes.
• Conduct technical research on new trends/customer requirements to develop novel materials to align with upcoming requirements
• Negotiate with suppliers and guide them through the development and bulk production processes to ensure timely delivery in line with customer requirements.
• Liaise with internal teams to incorporate customer specifications into fabric development.
• Coordinate with testing laboratories to ensure that product development requirements are adequately reflected in the final product.
• Proactively identify the technological requirements of new projects and growth platforms, supporting innovative approaches to overcome technical challenges and develop effective solutions.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A Degree or Diploma in Textile Technology, Textile Engineering, or a related field from a recognized institute, with 1–2 years of experience in a similar capacity.
• Knowledge of fabric development, textile testing, and product development processes would be an added advantage.
• Understanding of fabric properties, customer specifications, and quality standards within the textile industry.
• Ability to analyse market trends, identify new product development opportunities, and contribute to innovative solutions.
• Excellent communication, coordination, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to work effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of attention to detail and technical knowledge.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications, with good reporting and documentation skills.
