Executive - Traffic Marshal

Key Responsibilities

1. Traffic Management

• Direct and control movement of trucks, tankers, forklifts, and other vehicles within the plant.
• Guide vehicles during entry, parking, loading, unloading, and exit activities.
• Ensure designated traffic routes are followed.
• Manage vehicle congestion at loading bays, warehouses, and gates.

2. Safety Compliance

• Enforce plant traffic safety rules and speed limits.
• Ensure drivers and visitors comply with PPE requirements.
• Identify unsafe driving practices and report violations.
• Prevent unauthorized vehicle movement in restricted areas.
• Verify visibility of road markings, signboards, and safety barriers.
• Report maintenance requirements for traffic control infrastructure.

3. Vehicle Coordination

• Coordinate vehicle placement at loading and unloading docks.
• Maintain smooth vehicle flow to reduce waiting times and congestion.
• Communicate with security, warehouse, production, and transport teams regarding vehicle movements.
• Monitor vehicle turnaround time (VTT).

4. Pedestrian Safety

• Ensure safe segregation of pedestrians and vehicle movement areas.
• Monitor pedestrian crossings and designated walkways.
• Guide visitors and contractors on plant traffic rules.
• Report unsafe conditions or damaged safety signage.

5. Emergency Response

• Support emergency evacuation procedures.
• Control traffic during emergency situations.
• Assist EHS and security teams during incidents and investigations.

6. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain records of vehicle entries, exits, and incidents.
• Report traffic violations, near misses, accidents, and congestion issues.
• Submit daily traffic monitoring reports.
• Support audits and compliance inspections.

Working Conditions

• Outdoor and plant operational environment.
• Rotational shifts including day and night shifts.
• Standing and walking for extended periods.
• Exposure to vehicle movement, loading/unloading operations, and varying weather conditions.
• No direct reports (individual contributor role)
• Coordinates with drivers, transporters, warehouse teams, security staff, and EHS personnel.
