Exercise Physiologist

Sydney, NSW | Community & clinic-based role

Excelsior Care Group is looking for an Exercise Physiologist to join our growing allied health team across Sydney.

We are a multidisciplinary allied health provider supporting clients across SIRA, WorkCover/CTP, aged care, Medicare and private services. Our team includes Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Podiatrists.

We are looking for someone who is confident, personable and passionate about helping clients improve their strength, function and independence through exercise-based rehabilitation.

The role

You will work with a varied caseload and provide:

• Individualised exercise prescription and rehabilitation
• Strength, conditioning and functional capacity programs
• Work conditioning and return-to-work rehabilitation
• Chronic disease and injury management
• Community and clinic-based appointments
• Progress assessments and outcome measures
• Communication with GPs, insurers, case managers and other treating professionals
• Clear and timely clinical documentation and reports

You will work closely with our physiotherapy and wider allied health team to support clients as they progress from treatment into longer-term exercise and self-management.

About you

We are looking for an Exercise Physiologist who:

• Holds a relevant Exercise Physiology qualification
• Has current ESSA accreditation as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP)
• Has strong communication and clinical reasoning skills
• Is comfortable working independently while still being part of a supportive multidisciplinary team
• Has a current driver’s licence and access to a vehicle
• Is reliable, organised and confident communicating with clients and stakeholders

Experience with SIRA, WorkCover, CTP or aged care is highly regarded, however support can be provided to the right candidate.
