Exercise Physiologist

Active Physiotherapy Newtown is the inner wests longest established physiotherapy clinic. We are a comprehensive physiotherapy clinic offering sports physiotherapy, spinal physiotherapy, Women's Health, Hand physiotherapy and strength classes. We have a dedicated strength gym onsite but may soon be moving this strength gym to a larger space nearby.

We have 8 physiotherapists and 1 EP currently. You would be joining this amazing team and would be able to learn from us, not only growing your EP skills, but gaining a deeper understanding of how specialist physiotherapist's diagnose and treat all the conditions we see everyday.

Our clients are wonderful. We see patients of all ages. In our ONERO classes, clients of all ages participate in supervised strengthening after receiving a diagnosis of osteopaenia/osteoporosis. This may be post-menopausal but also medically induced. We are already seeing excellent results with our clients feeling stronger, sleeping better and having bone growth on follow up DEXA scans!

Some of our ONERO participants have never lifted weights in their life. But, following a diagnosis of osteopaenia/osteoporosis, they need guidance and inspiration to start. Our ONERO classes are fun and there's lots of laughter and chats!

We are looking for an exercise physiologist (part-time with a view to full-time) to run our ONERO osteoporosis strength class and see our private clients.

We are the inner west's longest established sports and spinal physiotherapy clinic and pride ourselves on using evidence based assessment and treatment techniques. We are a licenced ONERO class provider and these have proven so popular and are expanding. So we need you!

About You
You will be a positive and hard working EP. You will enjoy meeting different types of clients and helping them move better and feel better. You will enjoy being busy and learning and developing your skills. You will be a team player and be keen to learn and be mentored by our leadership team. Weekend work on Saturdays and Sundays may be required.

We will support you with financial support for professional development courses and have an annual conference weekend away as a team which is heaps of fun! We also do Melbourne Cup Lunch and a cracking Xmas Party - so you'll be joining the team at a great time!

Please note - you must be eligible to work in Australia and have ESSA accreditation as an exercise physiologist.
