Sydney Exercise Medicine is a growing allied health clinic delivering person-centred care to people living with disability, chronic conditions and persistent pain. Our team brings Exercise Physiology, Occupational Therapy and Speech Pathology together under one roof, creating opportunities to collaborate and learn across disciplines.

We are looking for a full-time permanent Exercise Physiologist to join our team, working Monday to Friday. Relevant experience is valued, and strong new graduates with excellent placement experience are encouraged to apply.

About the role

This role combines clinic-based work at our Westmead clinic with mobile visits in clients’ homes and communities, generally within a 30–45-minute radius.

You will support children, adolescents and adults with a diverse range of needs, including disability, neurological conditions, chronic disease and persistent pain. You will have support from a collaborative team and opportunities to build your clinical skills as our service continues to grow.

Your work will include:

• Delivering individual Exercise Physiology sessions in the clinic and community
• Assessing clients and designing tailored exercise programs
• Writing clinical reports for relevant funding and referral pathways, including NDIS, DVA, Medicare and WorkCover
• Working with clients, families, GPs, support coordinators and other allied health professionals
• Contributing to team meetings, professional development and a positive clinic culture
• Supporting clients across the lifespan, including children and adolescents

What we offer

• Full-time permanent employee position, Monday to Friday
• Salary of $70,000–$95,000 including superannuation, based on experience

About you

You are a caring and reliable clinician who is committed to good outcomes and keen to keep learning. You communicate well, build rapport with clients and can adapt your approach to different people and settings.

We would love to hear from you if you are:

• An ESSA Accredited Exercise Physiologist, or eligible to obtain accreditation
• Passionate about helping people improve their health, function and participation
• Comfortable working with children, adolescents and adults, or keen to develop paediatric experience
• Organised, professional and confident working independently while contributing to a team
• Interested in learning from and collaborating with other allied health professionals

Essential requirements

• ESSA accreditation, or eligibility to obtain accreditation
• Current CPR and First Aid certification
• Current NSW driver’s licence
• Medicare and SIRA provider numbers, or willingness to obtain them
• Professional indemnity and public liability insurance
• National Police Check
• Working with Children Check
• NDIS Worker Check, or willingness to obtain one
• Full working rights in Australia
