Exercise Therapist/ PTA Assistant

We are looking for a someone who is personable, passionate about exercise, energetic and friendly to join our team at Physiotherapy In Newmarket.

We work in a fast-paced environment and are looking for someone who has a strong ability to multi-task and assist our team with day-to-day patient care. The candidate must be passionate about creating a positive atmosphere and provide our patients with excellent service.

We are looking for a candidate that is willing to work VERY part-time with hours ranging from 10-15 hours a week. Hours may increase depends on your overall performance.

Candidate Details

• A degree in Kinesiology, Phys Ed or Certified personal trainer
• Fitness and Health Promotion
• Basic computer skills
• Personable, Energetic, tech savvy
• Quick learner with the ability to adapt to the needs of patients and the environment
• Ability to multi-task
• Previous use of Universal Antibex Scheduling software is an asset but not required

Job Responsibilities

• Demonstration of mobility, endurance, strengthening and stretching exercise
• Athletic and Functional Taping
• Electrotherapy treatments such as ultrasound, interferential treatment, shockwave and Laser, use of paraffin wax baths
• Daily Patient Charting
• Measuring for Braces & Compression Hosiery
• Teaching Exercises and Monitoring Weekly progressions for patients
• Basic Administrative Duties

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
