EXIM Manager (Bonded Zone)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced EXIM Manager (Bonded Zone) to join our team in Brebes, Central Java. This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in overseeing our import-export operations within the bonded zone environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of bonded zone regulations, customs procedures and compliance requirements. This role is strategic to our operations, ensuring seamless movement of goods whilst maintaining full regulatory adherence and operational efficiency. You will report directly to senior management and serve as the key point of liaison between our operations, customs authorities and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all import and export documentation and procedures specific to bonded zone operations, ensuring full compliance with Indonesian customs regulations
• Oversee bonded zone warehouse inventory management, including receiving, storage and release of goods
• Prepare and submit required reports to customs authorities and ensure accurate record-keeping of all bonded zone transactions
• Coordinate with customs officials and government agencies to maintain bonded zone status and obtain necessary permits and approvals
• Ensure all goods within the bonded zone are classified correctly and duty calculations are accurate
• Supervise warehouse staff and logistics personnel involved in bonded zone operations
• Monitor and maintain bonded zone security protocols and implement risk management procedures
• Liaise with shipping companies, freight forwarders and clients regarding shipment status and documentation requirements
• Conduct regular audits of bonded zone operations to identify areas for improvement and cost optimization
• Manage bonded zone licensing, permits and regulatory compliance updates

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5 years' experience managing import-export operations, with at least 3 years specifically working within bonded zones or free trade zones
• Comprehensive knowledge of Indonesian customs regulations, bonded zone procedures and EXIM documentation requirements
• Strong understanding of tariff classifications, duty calculations and international trade compliance
• Proven experience in warehouse management and inventory control within a regulated environment
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively
• Proficiency in EXIM software systems and customs management platforms
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, Mandarin is Plus
• Ability to work methodically, pay close attention to detail and maintain accurate records
• Proactive problem-solving approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Certification in customs clearance or equivalent professional qualification is highly desirable
• Familiarity with international trade agreements and preferential trade regimes is advantageous
