We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our vibrant dental team. Duties

• Assist the dentist during a wide range of procedures including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry with precision and confidence.
• Perform dental x-rays and 3D scans using advanced imaging equipment while adhering to infection prevention management and aseptic techniques.
• Prepare and process dental instruments and materials, ensuring sterilization procedures are meticulously followed to maintain clinical confidentiality policies.
• Take vital signs and medical histories, update medical documentation, and manage patient records using Eaglesoft
• Provide chairside assistance with four-handed dentistry techniques, ensuring smooth workflow and patient comfort throughout treatments.
• Educate patients on oral health care practices, post-treatment instructions, and dental terminology to promote ongoing oral health.
• Manage patient management software to schedule appointments, confirm patient information, and facilitate effective communication between team members.
• Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA regulations to safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with expanded functions certification (EFDA) or equivalent training.
• Knowledge of dental equipment operation including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, dental sterilization equipment, and medical imaging tools.
• Strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control protocols, dental instrument processing, and aseptic techniques.
• Ability to perform dental x-rays accurately while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with patients of all ages while providing compassionate care in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32.0 per week
