Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA)

Dental Excellence of Green is a small, friendly two-doctor general dentistry practice in Green, Ohio, and we're looking for an EFDA to join our clinical team.

This role is for someone who takes pride in chairside skill, leads by example with calm patient care, and enjoys working closely with doctors and teammates. You'll bring your Ohio EFDA credential to restorative days, support the doctors so chairs stay organized and comfortable, and help Dental Assistant peers when asked.

DUTIES

• All chairside dental-assistant expectations, plus expanded functions allowed under your Ohio EFDA credential (exact function list confirmed with our doctors — we do not invent procedures in this ad)
• Support doctors on restorative days with clear setup, chairside assist, and a calm room for every patient
• Mentor Dental Assistant peers when asked, and lead by example on teamwork and patient comfort
• Join the morning doctors + assistants huddle so the day starts aligned
• Room setup and breakdown, and sterilization flow with the clinical team
• Patient comfort and clear handoffs to front office and hygiene
• Stock and tray support; flag supply needs before they become problems

QUALIFICATIONS
Required

• Current Ohio EFDA credential (Expanded Function Dental Auxiliary / Expanded Function Dental Assistant), verified at hire
• Strong chairside communication with patients and teammates
• Reliable on a live clinical schedule

Nice to have

• Prior restorative EFDA experience in general dentistry
• Experience with dental practice management software (Eaglesoft is a plus)
• Comfort mentoring Dental Assistant peers

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
