Every new Auchan store starts long before opening day.

As an Expansion Manager , you will play a key role in identifying new commercial locations, coordinating store opening projects and supporting the successful execution of Auchan Hungary's expansion strategy.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of complex, cross-functional projects and contribute directly to the company's future growth.

What you'll do

• Identify and evaluate new commercial locations across Hungary.
• Monitor market trends and identify new expansion opportunities.
• Prepare business cases, financial analyses and decision-support materials.
• Manage store opening projects from site selection through successful launch.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and aligned with business objectives.
• Participate in and lead negotiations with landlords, business partners and external stakeholders.
• Monitor project progress, manage priorities and provide regular updates to senior management.
• Contribute to the development of new retail concepts and support Auchan Hungary's long-term expansion strategy.

What we're looking for

• A university degree in Business, Engineering, Business Administration or a related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in project management, project coordination or a similar role.
• A project management mindset with the ability to coordinate multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• Strong communication, coordination and negotiation skills.
• A structured, proactive and solution-oriented approach to work.
• Business-level English & Hungarian
• A valid category B driving licence and willingness to travel across Hungary.

Nice to have

• Experience in retail or FMCG
• Experience in expansion, store opening or investment projects.
• Background in real estate development or site acquisition.
• Experience with business analysis and financial feasibility assessments.
