Expedited Service Representative

ABOUT THE JOB

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Expedited Service Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing the dispatch of ground sprinter vans, box trucks or straight trucks for expedited shipments. This role requires

quick decision-making, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced

environment.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be adept in e-mail management.
• Familiar with PortPro TMS or similar software.
• Must be willing to work full time in EDT timezone.
• Willing to be assigned to any available shift.
• Excellent written and verbal English.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Laptop/Desktop with at least 8 GB RAM.
• Internet speed of at least 5-10 Mbps. (LAN connection preferred)
• Headset/Earphones with working microphone for calls.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispatch Coordination: Manage and coordinate the dispatch of drivers and vehicles for expedited freight shipments, ensuring timely pickups and deliveries.
• Routing and Scheduling: Develop and optimize routing plans to maximize efficiency and minimize transit times.
• Communication: Maintain constant communication with drivers, customers, and internal teams to provide real-time updates and address any issues that arise during transit.
• Problem-Solving: Quickly identify and resolve any operational challenges, such as traffic
• delays, vehicle breakdowns, or changes in customer requirements.
• Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and keeping customers informed about the status of their shipments.
• Safety Compliance: Monitor and enforce safety protocols and regulations to ensure the well-being of drivers and the integrity of the shipments.

Job Responsibilities:

• Monitor project delivery timelines.
• Check work quality against company requirements and specifications and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Coordinate with Sales Representatives for updates on delivery timelines.
• Ensure customer and interdepartmental for improved coordination of productive operations.
• Answers and responds to any calls from the customer or carrier and provide assistance or important information.
