Position Overview

Vermont Indexable Tooling is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Expeditor to join our team. An Expeditor manages client inquiries, tracks order fulfillment, fulfills orders, and resolves logistical issues to ensure a smooth delivery experience.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Communication & Support

• Answer inbound calls, emails, and chats regarding order status and delivery times
• Help manage current customer accounts
• Maintain relationships and provide exceptional customer service to customers and vendors
• Solve customer problems and help resolve issues
• Excellent multitasking skills

Order & Logistics Representative

• Enter customer orders accurately and schedule timely dispatches or pickups
• Receiving, inspecting, and verifying incoming raw materials and returned products
• Fulfilling customer orders according to standard operating procedures
• Label and package products for shipping
• Use computer to generate labels and maintain shipping equipment
• Perform monthly inventory checks
• Maintaining and organizing adequate shipping supplies
• Perform daily and weekly cleaning according to standard operating procedures
• Assist in other areas as needed and performing other duties as assigned

Administrative & Record Keeping

• Maintain customer databases, update computer systems, and file order documentation
• Prepare shipping paperwork, packing slips, and carrier labels when needed
• Be a professional representative of our company

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience: 0 to 3 years in customer service, logistics support, or order processing preferred
• Technical Skills: Basic computer proficiency
• Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, clear verbal communication, and patience under pressure
