Expeditor

About the role

The Expediter provides liaison support in local project purchases by facilitating and coordinating local deliveries with suppliers, doing local cash purchases, receiving and checking of purchased and delivered items.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinates with local suppliers for the on-time delivery of purchased materials or services
• Does cash local purchases
• Ensures that purchased or delivered items are complete based on the purchase order during receiving
• Checks the quality and specifications of purchased and delivered items based on the purchase order during receiving
• Does local canvassing of suppliers
• Coordinates with the Materials Management Department for incoming delivery of items
• Provides support in other purchasing activities to the project purchaser/s
• Performs other related job/duties as maybe assigned by the management from time to time

About you

• May require a college degree or specific certifications
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• 1-3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, production planning, or a related field
