Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and consistency
• Operate POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
• Manage customer orders efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service standards
• Handle food safety and proper food handling procedures during beverage preparation and serving
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations
• Assist with food preparation as needed, ensuring adherence to food safety regulations
• Manage retail transactions accurately using café POS systems and cash handling procedures
• Engage with customers to provide a positive experience, answer questions about menu items, and promote sales
• Follow health and safety guidelines related to food service and food industry standards
• Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth operations

Requirements

• Proven experience as a barista with strong coffee-making skills and knowledge of the food service industry
• Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS is highly desirable
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse customers
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and accurate order processing
• Knowledge of food safety protocols, food handling, and proper serving techniques
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Prior experience in food preparation, serving, or retail math is preferred
• Flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, afternoons, or evenings as needed
