Experience bartender/ Shift Lead

Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and experienced bartender to join our dynamic team as a Shift Lead. Responsibilities

Lead FOH operations during assigned shifts and ensure servers, bartenders, hosts, bussers, and support staff are positioned and performing their duties. Assist management with creating and adjusting weekly employee schedules based on projected sales, staffing needs, and labor goals.

Complete opening and closing manager duties, including restaurant walkthroughs, cash handling, drawer verification, closing reports, and securing the restaurant. Conduct daily and weekly bar inventory, monitor liquor, beer, wine, mixers, and supplies, and report shortages or unusual usage.

Assist with placing and receiving beverage and restaurant supply orders while verifying quantities and invoices. Monitor liquor portions, comps, voids, discounts, spills, and waste to help control beverage costs and prevent loss.

Monitor labor throughout the shift and make appropriate staffing adjustments when business levels increase or decrease. Assign side work, cleaning duties, opening duties, and closing duties and verify completion before employees leave.

Handle guest complaints and service issues professionally and involve senior management when necessary. Coach employees during shifts and assist with training, performance feedback, attendance issues, and documentation of policy violations.

Ensure employees follow company policies regarding attendance, uniforms, cell phones, food handling, alcohol service, cleanliness, and guest service. Perform shift change walkthroughs and communicate important issues, shortages, maintenance concerns, reservations, and staffing needs to management.

Help maintain accurate inventory, waste logs, cleaning checklists, temperature logs, and other required operational records. Support management in reaching sales, labor, beverage-cost, cleanliness, and customer-service goals.

Serve as the manager on duty when designated and make appropriate operational decisions within company guidelines.

Pay: $5.00 - $15.00 per hour
