Responsibilities

• Safely operate commercial trucks including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers on over-the-road (OTR) routes while complying with FMCSA and DOT regulations
• Navigate using GPS systems to ensure efficient route planning and timely deliveries across multiple locations
• Load and unload freight with manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo is secured properly for transport
• Transport automobile parts or other freight via specialized equipment such as flatbeds or tanker trucks
• Manage hazardous materials (Hazmat) shipments following hazardous materials regulations and dangerous goods protocols
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks to identify maintenance needs or safety issues before departure and after arrival
• Load and unload cargo accurately, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to logistics cargo handling standards
• Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, delivery records, and compliance documentation in accordance with FMCSA regulations
• Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery schedules, or unforeseen delays

Experience

• Proven experience as a commercial truck driver with a focus on delivery driving in various environments including route driving and OTR routes
• Demonstrated ability to operate manual transmission trucks safely and efficiently
• Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and automobile transportation equipment
• Knowledge of truck loading/unloading procedures and logistics cargo handling standards
• Experience complying with DOT regulations related to driver hours of service, vehicle maintenance, and hazardous materials handling
• Valid CDL license with endorsements for Hazmat and tanker transportation preferred; at minimum a clean driving record demonstrating safe driving habits
• Strong understanding of FMCSA regulations concerning commercial trucking operations and hazardous materials regulations
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely during load & unload operations in various weather conditions

Pay: $1,569.90 - $1,840.31 per week
