About the Role

The successful candidate will work closely with product, technology, marketing, research, and business teams to understand user needs, develop design concepts, test solutions, and improve the overall experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and understand user needs, behaviours, goals, and pain points.
• Translate user and business requirements into clear experience concepts and design solutions.
• Create user journeys, service flows, wireframes, prototypes, and other design deliverables.
• Design intuitive and consistent experiences across relevant digital and physical touchpoints.
• Work closely with product managers, developers, researchers, marketers, and business stakeholders.
• Conduct user research, interviews, usability testing, and other appropriate research activities.
• Analyse user feedback and behavioural data to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and test design concepts through prototypes and iterative design processes.
• Present design recommendations and rationale to stakeholders.
• Incorporate feedback while maintaining a clear focus on user needs and business objectives.
• Contribute to design standards, guidelines, and reusable design patterns.
• Collaborate with development teams to support accurate implementation of approved designs.
• Review implemented experiences and identify opportunities for further improvement.
• Monitor relevant experience and usability metrics where applicable.
• Support design workshops, brainstorming sessions, and cross-functional problem-solving activities.
• Document design decisions, research findings, and project outcomes.
• Stay informed about relevant design practices, customer expectations, and industry developments.

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Experience Design, User Experience Design, Interaction Design, Product Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related discipline.
• Relevant professional experience in UX, experience design, service design, product design, or a related field.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centred design work and problem-solving.
• Experience creating user journeys, wireframes, prototypes, and other design artefacts.
• Understanding of user research and usability testing methods.
• Strong visual, interaction, and communication skills.
• Ability to explain design decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams in a product or business environment.
• Proficiency with relevant design and prototyping tools such as Figma or equivalent software.
• Strong analytical, creative, and problem-solving abilities.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience with service design, design systems, accessibility, or digital products is an advantage.
