EXPERIENCE SKILLED METAL WORKER

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Metal Worker to join. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and finishing metal components with precision and efficiency. Your expertise in various machining and fabrication techniques will ensure that all projects meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and craftsmanship. MUST BE A LEGAL US RESIDENT/CITIZEN

Responsibilities

• Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and shop math to accurately set up and execute machining and fabrication tasks.
• Perform precision measurements using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other quality inspection tools to ensure parts meet specified tolerances.
• Set up and operate welding equipment and hand tools for various welding processes to join metal components securely.
• Prepare materials by cutting, forming, shaping, and assembling sheet metal and other metal components with attention to detail.
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all safety standards in production, including proper machine operation protocols and safety equipment usage.
• Conduct quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process to verify measurement accuracy and adherence to technical specifications.
• Troubleshoot machine issues promptly to minimize downtime and optimize production efficiency.
• Collaborate with team members on assembly tasks requiring mechanical knowledge and precise fabrication techniques.

Experience

• Proven experience as a skilled metal worker or machinist with a strong background in metal fabrication and machining operations.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and shop math for accurate fabrication.
• Proficiency in welding techniques including MIG, TIG or stick welding as required for assembly tasks.
• Familiarity with measuring instruments used for quality control in machining processes.
• Mechanical knowledge of forming machines, tooling setup, sheet metal fabrication, and assembly procedures.
• Strong understanding of safety standards in manufacturing environments along with the ability to follow safety protocols diligently.
• Ability to operate hand tools efficiently while maintaining high standards of precision measurement for quality assurance.

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16.0 – 40.0 per week

Experience:

• MIG welding: 6 years (Preferred)

Language:

• English (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Drivers License (Preferred)
• Welder License (Preferred)
