Experienced Applied Service / Chiller Technician

A Chiller Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Chiller systems to ensure optimal performance and safety

Installation and Setup: Install air-cooled and water-cooled chillers, cooling towers, pumps, compressors, valves and related components in commercial, industrial , or healthcare facilities

Maintenance and Preventive Care: Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and calibration of chiller systems to maintain efficiency and prevent breakdowns

Troubleshooting and Repairs: Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration issues, perform repairs, and replace faulty components.

System Monitoring: Test, adjust, and monitor chiller performance, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards

Documentation and Compliance: Maintain records of maintenance activities, follow safety protocols, and stay updated in industry regulations

REQUIRED SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS:

Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of HVAC, refrigeration, and mechanical systems, including the ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals

Problem Solving: Ability to identify issues quickly and implement effective solutions

Communication: Strong interpersonal skills for coordinating with team members, facility managers, and customers

Physical Requirements: Capability to handle equipment, work in confined spaces, and perform physically demanding tasks safely

Education and Training: Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent; specialized training or certification in HVAC or refrigeration is preferred
