Experienced Arborist

Position Overview

Absolute Tree Care Company is looking for an experienced, motivated, and safety-minded Tree Climber to join our team. The ideal candidate has strong climbing skills, experience performing professional tree care, and takes pride in quality workmanship and safety.

Responsibilities

• Safely climb and work in trees using ropes, harnesses, chainsaws, and other climbing equipment.
• Perform pruning, removals, deadwood removal, structural pruning, and other tree care services.
• Safely operate chainsaws and tree-care equipment while working aloft.
• Perform rigging and lowering of limbs and sections of trees.
• Identify potential hazards and communicate them to the crew.
• Work efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Assist with ground operations when needed, including dragging brush, running equipment, chipping, and job-site cleanup.
• Maintain and properly care for climbing gear, chainsaws, and company equipment.
• Follow all company safety procedures and industry best practices.
• Provide professional and respectful service to customers and their properties.

Qualifications

• Previous professional tree-climbing experience required.
• Strong knowledge of climbing techniques, knots, rigging, and tree-care equipment.
• Comfortable operating a chainsaw in the tree.
• Ability to safely perform tree pruning and removals.
• Strong understanding of job-site safety and hazard awareness.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Physically capable of performing demanding tree-care work.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a crew.
• Valid driver's license preferred.

Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
