Experienced Baker

Golden Roost Breakfast & Bakery is a new farm-focused breakfast restaurant and bakery opening soon. We are proudly building a concept centered around scratch-made food, hospitality, and strong relationships with local food producers.

We are also creating a farm stop with in the store, to partner with regional vegetable growers, and a meat farmers cooperative to bring fresh, high-quality, and responsibly sourced ingredients directly into our kitchen and bakery.

We’re looking for a dependable, team-oriented Baker who wants to grow with a new business and be part of something built from the ground up.

Responsibilities

• Sourdough bread baking, cake bake/decorating, various pastry
• Have a creative curiosity for new recipes
• Self-motivated time management
• Wash dishes, cookware, and kitchen utensils throughout the shift
• Maintain clean and organized workstations
• Assist with opening and closing duties
• Receive and properly store deliveries from local farms and vendors
• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures
• Support teammates wherever needed

Baking experience is a must, one year minimum.

Training & Growth

At Golden Roost, we believe in building skills and growing together.

We provide hands-on training for the right candidate and encourage learning across all areas of the business.

There is also opportunity for cross-training, including:

• Front-of-house service
• Coffee and espresso preparation
• Food prep/ Line cook
• Guest experience and hospitality
• Leadership opportunities as the business grows

We want team members who are interested in learning multiple parts of the restaurant and growing with us long-term.

Schedule

• Morning and daytime shifts
• Weekend availability required
• Full-time and part-time positions available

Starting Pay

• $18–22 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
