ABOUT THE ROLE

This role plays a key supporting role in the daily rhythm of Buttercup. Working closely with the Head Baker and front-of-house team, this position ensures the smooth flow of food preparation, bakery operations, The ideal candidate is self-directed, motivated, and thrives in a clean, well-organised, and community-focused environment.

ABOUT YOU

• Passionate about food, local produce, and the craft of baking
• Previous experience as a pastry baker including kneading, maturing, cutting molding, mixing and shaping dough and pastry products, experience working with sourdough a big bonus!
• Monitoring oven/prover temperatures and product appearance to ensure accurate cooking times
• Coordinating the forming, loading, baking, unloading and cooling of bread batches, and baked goods
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Flexible and adaptable to the evolving needs of a small, hands-on team
• Excellent understanding of food hygiene and safety standards
• Current driver’s licence preferred (for deliveries and pickups)
• Self-directed, reliable, and able to work autonomously

AVAILABILITY

• Must be available one weekend day
