Experienced Barista

Overview
Olde World Coffee & Gelato is a coffee & gelato shop located in the heart of Connellsville just off the GAP bike trail. Olde World will also be opening a second location in 2026 in Uniontown, PA. We are seeking an experienced barista (must be 18+ years old) who is enthusiastic about serving high-quality coffee, espresso drinks, and delicious gelato to locals and outdoor enthusiasts. The barista position may be shared between the locations or designated to one specific location. We are interviewing for full-time, part-time, and occasional positions at this time.

We are seeking an energetic and positive individual that will be a great fit for the team. Our atmosphere is upbeat and cheerful and we want this vibe to carry through our staff to our customers. As a Barista, you will create a welcoming environment for our customers while preparing high-quality beverages and providing exceptional service. Your expertise in coffee and gelato plus attention to detail will ensure that every customer has a delightful experience.

Open Daily. Shift hours for this position range from 6:00 am - 8:00 pm. Must be able to work Saturdays and Sundays and week days.

Barista experience is required.

Must be at least 18 years old.

References are required.

Responsibilities/Qualifications

• Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, gelato, & baked goods according to established recipes and customer preferences.
• Previous barista experience is required for this position.
• Serv Safe certification is preferred but not required.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and maintained.
• Adhere to food safety guidelines, protocols, and regulations, ensuring all products are handled safely and hygienically.
• Engage with customers to assist with menu selection based on their preferences to enhance their overall experience, promoting sales through exceptional service.
• Math skills, ability to appropriately handle cash, and use POS system.
• Monitor inventory levels of food and beverage supplies, reporting any shortages to management.
• Positive collaboration with team members to create a positive work environment, assisting each other during peak hours.

Pay: $10.00 - $11.00 per hour
