Position Summary:

The Lead Barista plays a crucial role in the daily operations of the coffee shop, ensuring smooth workflow, exceptional customer service, and team collaboration. This position requires strong barista skills, leadership abilities, and a passion for specialty coffee.

Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:

Support and mentor baristas to maintain high performance and professional development.

Lead by example, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Assist in training new hires on brewing techniques, customer service, and operations.

Operations:

Open and close the shop, following all checklists and procedures.
Manage inventory, including milk, beans, and supplies, to ensure smooth operations. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café and workstations.

Customer Experience:

Deliver outstanding service and foster customer relationships.
Ensure drink consistency and quality by following recipes and techniques. Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and special requests professionally.

Barista Skills:

Expertly prepare espresso-based beverages, pour-over coffees, and specialty drinks.

Stay informed about coffee origins, roasting, and brewing methods to educate customers.

Qualifications:

What we’re looking for:

– Minimum 2 years barista experience

– Specialty coffee background preferred

– Strong workflow, consistency, and customer service focus

– Availability for 30–35 hours/week

– Team players with a passion for coffee and hospitality

Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
