Experienced Barista – Full-Time

Job overview
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Barista to join the team at our new Borneo Bakery & Pâtisserie in Winchmore Hill.

The successful candidate must have a minimum of 2 years’ professional barista experience and be confident in preparing high-quality artisan coffee to a consistently high standard.

The role

• Prepare high-quality artisan coffee, including a full range of espresso-based drinks
• Ensure consistent espresso extraction, milk texture and presentation
• Work confidently and efficiently during busy periods
• Provide friendly and professional customer service
• Maintain a clean and organised coffee station
• Assist with serving customers and counter duties when required
• Follow food hygiene, health and safety standards
• Work closely with the rest of the team to provide an excellent customer experience

The candidate

• Minimum 2 years’ professional barista experience – essential
• Strong knowledge and experience in preparing artisan coffee
• Confident using professional espresso machines and grinders
• Excellent knowledge of espresso extraction and grinder adjustment
• Confident with milk steaming, texturing and coffee presentation
• Able to prepare coffees quickly while maintaining quality and consistency
• Friendly, reliable and well presented
• Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Able to work well as part of a team
• Valid right to work in the UK

Borneo Café & Bakery has been serving the Palmers Green community since 2017, offering freshly baked pastries, cakes, desserts and quality coffee. We are now growing our team with the opening of our second location, Borneo Bakery & Pâtisserie in Winchmore Hill.
