Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and flair, including cocktails, wine, craft beers, and spirits.
• Manage bar operations efficiently by processing cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS.
• Develop and refine beverage recipes to keep menus fresh and innovative, ensuring customer satisfaction and repeat business.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area according to food safety standards and health regulations.
• Engage with guests warmly, offering personalized recommendations based on their preferences to enhance their experience.
• Monitor inventory levels regularly; reorder supplies as needed to ensure seamless service without shortages.
• Handle cash handling procedures responsibly while processing payments swiftly and accurately.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff during food service or catering events such as banquets or nightclub functions to ensure smooth operations.
• Uphold high standards of responsible alcohol service by checking IDs and managing intoxicated guests professionally.
• Assist in bar management duties including scheduling shifts, training new staff, and maintaining compliance with licensing laws.

Experience

• Proven experience as a bartender in fine dining establishments, nightclubs, or catering environments with a strong understanding of beverage preparation techniques.
• Extensive knowledge of spirits, wine varieties, craft beers, cocktail mixing techniques (including mixology), and beverage recipe development.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for processing transactions efficiently.
• Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively during busy hours while maintaining high-quality service standards.
• Previous food service experience with knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures.
• Experience working in hospitality or restaurant settings that require excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
• Strong math skills for retail math calculations related to sales, tips, and inventory management.
• Knowledge of nightclub or banquet event operations is a plus; experience in beverage sales or retail math is beneficial.
