Schedule: Evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays
Typical Shift: 3:30 PM – 11:00 PM (often earlier!)

Love Bartending, But Not the Late Nights?

Glacia Tavern is looking for an experienced, dependable bartender to join our team!

We're a locally owned restaurant in the heart of the Keweenaw, and unlike a typical late-night bar, our kitchen and bar generally close at 9 PM. Most shifts wrap up by 10 PM or earlier! Occasionally, during especially busy evenings, the bar may stay open until 11 PM or midnight, but that's the exception rather than the norm.

We're looking for someone who enjoys great hospitality, takes pride in making quality drinks, and can confidently help keep our front-of-house operations running smoothly.

What You'll Be Doing

• Prepare cocktails, beer, wine, and other beverages while providing excellent guest service.
• Manage bar guests and dining room drink orders efficiently.
• Handle cash transactions, register closing, and employee tip payouts accurately.
• Communicate with servers and kitchen staff to keep service organized.
• Follow all alcohol-service laws, restaurant policies, and responsible serving practices.
• Complete daily bartender checklists, cleaning, stocking, and opening/closing duties.
• Support the front-of-house team wherever needed.

What We're Looking For

• Previous professional bartending experience required.
• Strong cocktail knowledge, multitasking skills, and attention to detail.
• Dependable, organized, and comfortable handling financial responsibilities.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to follow established procedures and work independently.
• Willingness to complete Glacia-provided ServSafe Alcohol training.
• Evening and weekend availability.
