Neighborhood Taphouse Dorchester is looking for an experienced, energetic, and customer-focused Bartender to join our team! We’re seeking someone who thrives in a fast-paced restaurant environment, can multitask under pressure, and takes pride in delivering excellent guest service while maintaining an organized and efficient bar.

The ideal candidate is confident behind the bar, knowledgeable about cocktails, beer, and spirits, and able to balance multiple responsibilities without sacrificing quality, accuracy, or hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, attentive, and efficient service while creating a welcoming experience for every guest.
• Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, and other beverages accurately and consistently.
• Multitask effectively while managing multiple guest orders, bar guests, service tickets, and ongoing bar responsibilities.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked bar throughout each shift.
• Work closely with other bartenders, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth restaurant operations.
• Take accurate orders, process payments, and handle cash and POS transactions efficiently.
• Monitor guest needs, anticipate requests, and maintain a positive atmosphere during busy periods.
• Follow all responsible alcohol service guidelines, food safety standards, and company procedures.
• Restock products, replenish garnishes, prepare ingredients, and complete opening, closing, and side-work duties.
• Maintain awareness of inventory levels and communicate shortages or supply needs to management.
• Uphold a professional attitude, strong teamwork, and consistent attention to detail during every shift.

Qualifications

• Previous bartending experience in a busy restaurant, bar, or hospitality environment required.
• Strong multitasking, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Ability to remain calm, focused, and professional during high-volume service.
• Knowledge of cocktails, spirits, beer, wine, and standard bartending techniques.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Comfortable using restaurant POS systems and handling transactions accurately.
• Reliable, punctual, self-motivated, and able to work independently while contributing to a team.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift or carry bar supplies as needed.
• Must meet applicable legal age requirements for alcohol service and comply with South Carolina alcohol service regulations.
