Experienced Bartender

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

Provide timely, accurate and friendly service while preparing the highest quality beverages for our guests. Each bartender's primary objective is to show our guests such an exceptional experience, they will want to return regularly.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

‚ Take beverage orders from guests and servers

‚ Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with standard drink recipes of bar program

‚ Maintain inventory level accuracy through proper measurement and pours utilizing a jigger

‚ Learn the names and personally recognize and greet regular guests

‚ Record drink orders accurately and immediately after receipt into the register system

‚ Accept guest payment, process credit card charges and make change (if applicable)

‚ Wash and sterilize glassware

‚ Prepare garnishes and syrups for drinks

‚ Maintain bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages

‚ Clear and reset tables in bar area

‚ Study and learn company cocktail program; communicate any training needs to supervisor

‚ Present drink menus, make recommendations, and answer questions regarding beverages

‚ Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including (but not limited to) counters, sinks, coolers, shelves, and storage areas

‚ Receive and serve food orders to guests seated at the bar

€ Conclude dining experience with guests by acknowledging choice of restaurant; inviting their return

€ Obtain revenues by totaling charges; issuing bill; accepting payment; delivering bill and payment; returning change or credit card and signature slip to patrons

‚ Report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to Manager

‚ Assist in the restocking and replenishment of bar inventory and supplies

€ Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure bar inventory needs and supplies are prepared when needed

€ Contribute to team environment by maintaining team work at all times with entire staff

Education:

High School diploma is preferred or GED/equivalent

Experience:

3 years previous bartending or mixology experience is a must. Craft bartending is preferred. *Bartending school is a great tool to list as experience, but will not automatically qualify candidate without work experience.
