Experienced Bench Joiner

StudioFFE are a modern and progressive furniture manufacturer based in Normanton, WF6. Due to high demand across various sectors and an incrwased volume of bespoke joinery we're lookign to appoint 2 skilled bench joiners.

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated member to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the production, assembly, and finishing of high-quality bespoke wood-based products to customer specifications. This role requires excellent craftsmanship, attention to detail, and the ability to work from technical drawings to produce custom-made items to the highest standards. Ensuring safety and precision at every stage.

Hours: 37.5 hours a week Monday to Friday (Day shifts), early finish on a Friday

Responsibilities

• Manufacture bespoke products from timber, MDF, laminates, veneers, and sheet materials.
• Interpret and work accurately from technical drawings, cutting lists, and production specifications.
• Assemble bespoke furniture, cabinetry, joinery components, display units, and specialist custom products.
• Carry out fitting, finishing, sanding, trimming, and quality inspection of completed products.
• Ensure all work meets company quality standards and client requirements.
• Identify and resolve production issues while maintaining productivity and accuracy.
• Work collaboratively with production, design, and installation teams.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
• Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies.
• Assist with product development and continuous improvement initiatives when required.

Experience

• Proven experience manufacturing bespoke furniture, fitted interiors, retail displays, exhibition stands, or specialist joinery products.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong knowledge of woodworking machinery and hand tools.
• Excellent woodworking, assembly, and finishing skills.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good problem-solving skills and a positive attitude.
• Strong understanding of health and safety requirements.
• Relevant Joinery/ Carpentry qualification (preferred but not essential).
• Forklift licence (preferred but not essential).
