Duties

• Perform a wide variety of braiding styles including intricate cornrows, box braids, Senegalese twists, and more, ensuring each client’s vision is realized with precision.
• Consult with clients to understand their hair goals, preferences, and any specific needs related to hair extensions, coloring, or threading.
• Maintain a clean and sanitized work area by adhering to strict sanitation protocols and using tools like straight razors responsibly.
• Use salon software such as GlossGenius to schedule appointments, update client records, and manage retail sales efficiently.
• Offer expert advice on hair care routines, product recommendations, and retail sales opportunities to enhance client satisfaction and loyalty.
• Assist in store management tasks including inventory control of hair extensions, coloring supplies, and styling tools.
• Mentor junior team members by sharing techniques in hair styling, coloring, threading, and customer communication to foster a collaborative environment.

Experience

• Proven experience working in the beauty industry as a professional braider or hairstylist with a strong portfolio of braided styles.
• Familiarity with sanitation standards specific to cosmetology and barbering practices to ensure client safety.
• Strong communication skills for effective client consultation and upselling retail products related to hair care and styling.
