Experienced Caregiver

Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Experienced Caregiver to join our team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring support with daily living activities. Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive patient personal care assistance, including help with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using proper patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques.
• Monitor and observe patients’ conditions closely, recording vital signs and noting changes in behavior or health status to inform care plans.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as meal preparation, medication administration, and light housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Support residents with specialized needs including dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, and supporting individuals with autism or neurodevelopmental disorders.
• Provide transportation assistance for appointments or community outings while ensuring safety during transfers and travel.
• Follow all HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality and protect sensitive health information.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to implement individualized care plans tailored to each resident’s needs and preferences.

Skills

• Proven experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments.
• Strong patient observation skills to detect changes in condition or behavior promptly.
• Knowledge of medication administration protocols and vital signs monitoring.
• Ability to perform CPR and first aid confidently in emergency situations.
• Skilled in manual handling techniques including the use of Hoyer lifts and patient transfer methods.
• Experience providing dementia, Alzheimer’s, memory care, or hospice care is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration.
• Familiarity with care plans development and documentation procedures aligned with healthcare standards.
• Capable of heavy lifting when necessary to assist residents with mobility or transfers safely.
• Knowledge of HIPAA compliance to ensure privacy and confidentiality at all times.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays is a plus.
