EXPERIENCED CARPENTER/TEAM LEAD

Some carpenters are great at being given a task.

Others can look at an entire project and figure out how to get it done.

We're looking for the second kind.

My name is Kevin Focht, and I own Beaver Building & Remodeling. We've been remodeling homes throughout Bucks and Montgomery Counties since 1985, and I've been with the company since 1988.

We're looking for an experienced Remodeling Team Lead to take responsibility for residential projects and lead a small crew in the field.

This is a hands-on position.

You'll still be framing walls, installing trim, hanging doors, solving weird problems in old houses, and occasionally wondering what the guy who built something 40 years ago was thinking.

But you'll also be the person looking ahead.

What's happening tomorrow?

Are the materials ready?

Does the plumber need to be here before you close that wall?

Is something on the plan not going to work in the real world?

Does the office need to know about a problem before it becomes a bigger problem?

That's the job.

What You'll Be Responsible For

• Running residential remodeling projects in the field
• Leading and working alongside a small crew
• Planning the sequence of work
• Coordinating with subcontractors and the office
• Reading plans and understanding project scope
• Identifying problems before they hold up the project
• Maintaining our quality standards
• Keeping jobsites clean and organized
• Communicating professionally with homeowners
• Making sure the project keeps moving

We don't expect you to know absolutely everything.

We do expect you to know when you don't know something—and ask before making an expensive mistake.

What This Job Is NOT

It's not driving around checking on other people's work.

It's not sitting in the truck making phone calls all day.

And it's definitely not pointing at things and telling everyone else what to do.

Our Team Leads build.

They just happen to be the person everyone else on the job can rely on.
