Experienced Carpenter/Woodworker Full-Time

JH Woodworks is a growing custom woodworking business specializing in high-quality outdoor structures including chicken coops, children’s playgrounds, goat structures, barns, carports and other custom builds. Position Overview

We’re seeking an experienced **Full-Time Carpenter** to join our dedicated team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled craftsperson who values quality work, teamwork, and building something meaningful every day.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Building custom chicken coops, playgrounds, and outdoor structures from start to finish

• Framing and structural work using traditional woodworking techniques

• Precision finishing work and detail craftsmanship

• Operating power tools safely and efficiently

• Reading blueprints and following project specifications

• Collaborating with team members to complete projects on time

• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment

What We’re Looking For

**Required Experience & Skills:**

• Proven experience in carpentry/construction

• Strong framing skills and structural knowledge

• Expertise in finishing work and attention to detail

• Proficiency with power tools (saws, drills, sanders, etc.)

• Ability to read blueprints and measurements accurately

• Physical strength for lifting lumber and materials

• Efficient work habits and time management skills

• Excellent teamwork and communication abilities

**Physical Requirements:**

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly

• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions

• Standing, bending, and working in different positions throughout the day

• Hand dexterity for precise detail work

You will be helping with various parts of the building process, including Framing, Sheeting, Floors, Trim, etc. You will need to know how to operate basic tools (Tape Measure, Chop Saw, Table Saw, etc.) with great precision. Ability to read Framing Diagrams/ Cut lists and follow them with precision is extremely important.

Must have the ability to:

• Follow instructions and layouts
