Skillford & Co Limited is looking for experienced Class 5 drivers for several opportunities across Christchurch and the wider Canterbury region.

Whether your experience is in metro deliveries, linehaul, civil transport, flat decks, B-trains or milk tankers, we want to hear from you. We have a range of roles available for dependable drivers who take pride in their work and look after their vehicles.

What we’re looking for

• A current New Zealand Class 5 licence
• At least two years’ Class 5 driving experience
• Proven truck-and-trailer experience
• Availability to work 50+ hours per week when required
• Strong reliability, communication and time management
• Confidence completing logbooks and following transport regulations
• A commitment to health and safety
• The ability to work independently and communicate effectively with clients and dispatch teams
• A positive attitude and willingness to get stuck in when required
• The legal right to work in New Zealand

Experience we’re interested in Depending on the position, we are seeking drivers with experience in one or more of the following:

• Metro deliveries
• Linehaul transport
• Civil trucking
• Truck-and-trailer tipping
• Flat-deck and load-restraint work
• B-train combinations
• Milk tanker operations
• Road Ranger gearboxes
• General freight

For our civil positions, previous truck-and-trailer tipping experience is strongly preferred. Applicants for flat-deck, B-train or milk tanker roles should have relevant experience within the area they are applying for.
