Powder-X is looking for an experienced laser professional to join our manufacturing team.

We are not looking for someone who simply knows how to push the buttons on a laser. We need someone who understands laser production, takes pride in their work, keeps their area organized, and treats the machine like it is their responsibility.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

• Mitsubishi laser experience is strongly preferred
• Experience operating an older-model Mitsubishi laser is strongly preferred
• Must be comfortable learning and transitioning to newer laser equipment
• Nesting experience is preferred, but not required
• Ability to accurately read and interpret fabrication drawings and other production paperwork
• Ability to identify materials, thicknesses and part requirements
• Comfortable lifting and handling sheets of metal
• Ability to accurately count, identify and sticker parts
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Efficient and able to keep production moving
• Able to monitor parts and quantities throughout a production run
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Able to stop and identify problems and work toward proper solutions, rather than implementing a temporary fix or creating work-arounds
• Strong preventative-maintenance mindset
• Must be a stickler for preventative maintenance, cleanliness and machine care
• Able to work independently and take ownership of the laser operation
• Reliable, dependable and safety-conscious

We want someone who knows lasers.

Someone who can recognize when something isn't running correctly, troubleshoot the problem, communicate what is happening, and take the appropriate steps to keep production moving.

You should be the type of person who notices when something needs maintenance before it becomes a breakdown.

You should also be organized enough to keep track of parts, quantities, stickers and production requirements without constantly being reminded.

Pay: Competitive, based on experience
