Role Overview

We are seeking a highly creative Concept Architect with a strong foundation in manual sketching, spatial planning, and design storytelling. This role is ideal for someone who can translate ideas into compelling architectural concepts and has a refined eye for form, proportion, and colour.

You will be responsible for shaping early-stage design directions and developing concepts that are both innovative and commercially viable.

Additionally you will be expected to manage and direct tasking for the junior members of the visualisation team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead concept design development from initial brief through to early-stage proposals
• Produce high-quality SKP models and visual concepts to communicate design intent
• Develop strong spatial planning strategies for residential, commercial, or mixed-use projects
• Create cohesive design narratives, including materiality, colour palettes, and mood direction
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure concepts are aligned with client requirements and project goals
• Present ideas clearly to internal teams and clients through sketches, diagrams, and presentations
• Support the transition of concept designs into developed stages

Requirements

• Degree in Architecture
• Please share work samples of your sketches that demonstrate your conceptual design ability.
• Minimum 6 years’ experience working specifically as a Concept Architect
• Strong portfolio demonstrating D5 rendering and creative conceptual design ability
• Proven experience in spatial planning and early-stage design development
• Excellent understanding of form, scale, proportion, and colour composition
• Ability to generate creative ideas quickly and communicate them effectively
• Strong presentation and storytelling skills
• Excellent mentorship, management and team development skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in high-end residential, hospitality, or commercial projects
• Ability to work with SketchUp, D5 , AutoCad and other tools (supporting visuals)
• Understanding of client brief development and feasibility considerations
