Experienced Cook

We’re looking for a reliable, creative and enthusiastic Cook to join our team!

The role

You’ll be responsible for preparing fresh, homemade food throughout the week, including:

• Freshly baked scones
• Homemade sausage rolls
• Creating and preparing daily lunch specials
• Keeping the kitchen clean, organised and running smoothly
• Maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation

Hours

3–4 days per week
7:30am – 3:00pm
One weekend day required

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about good food, enjoys creating new dishes and can work independently as part of a friendly team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes with attention to detail, consistency, and presentation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety regulations at all times.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service and smooth kitchen operations.
• Monitor inventory levels, report shortages, and help with stock rotation to minimize waste.
• Serve dishes promptly and professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction through quality presentation.

Requirements

• Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or culinary roles within a restaurant or similar setting.
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling techniques.
• Excellent skills in meal preparation, including chopping, seasoning, cooking, and plating.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality.
• Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools used in professional cooking environments.
• Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset to support collaborative kitchen operations.

Pay: £13.00-£14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 21.0 – 27.0 per week
