About the role

We are seeking a passionate, qualified and registered ECE Teacher to join our new, purpose-built early childhood centre. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping a positive centre culture and creating an inspiring learning environment from the ground up, with the support of a dedicated and experienced leadership team. Our centre offers spacious, beautifully designed learning spaces and a strong, child-centred curriculum.

Key responsibilities

• Provide responsive and respectful care to children aged 2 to 5
• Build strong, trusting relationships with tamariki, whanau, and colleagues
• Plan, assess, and document children's learning
• Be culturally responsive and affirm the identities, languages, and cultures of all tamariki
• Support bicultural practice and uphold Te Tiriti o Waitangi in everyday teaching
• Confidently support daily centre operations and team responsibilities
• Adapts well to change and supports the team through transitions
• Confidence to contribute to systems and processes in an expanding centre
• Organised, proactive, and reliable in managing responsibilities

About you

• A recognised ECE qualification and a full, current NZ Teacher Practising Certificate
• Valid working rights in NZ
• Genuinely passionate about working with children from ages 2 to 5
• Committed to bicultural practice and strong relationships
