ROOM LEADER – Kindergarten Program - full-time

About the Role We are seeking an experienced and confident Room Leader. This leadership role requires someone who can guide a team, deliver a high‑quality kinder program, and model best practice in child safety, curriculum, and compliance.

Advertised wage includes workers retention money, the candidate will received approx. annual $4,000 from student placement mentor fee.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the room and mentor educators in daily practice
• Develop and deliver a rich, play‑based kindergarten program aligned with the VEYLDF
• Oversee documentation, planning cycles, and assessments
• Build strong, respectful relationships with families and the community
• Ensure compliance with NQS, centre policies, and regulatory requirements
• Champion Child Safe Standards and ensure all educators maintain professional boundaries
• Respond appropriately to disclosures, concerns, or risks and follow reporting procedures
• Promote a positive, collaborative team culture
• Minimum three years experience

What We’re Looking For

• Diploma or Bachelor qualification (ACECQA‑approved)
• Minimum 2 years Full ECT registration
• Experience leading a room or kindergarten program
• Strong understanding of VEYLDF, EYLF, and NQS
• Excellent communication, organisation, and leadership skills
• Confidence in curriculum planning and documentation
• Current WWCC, First Aid, CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis
• Demonstrated commitment to Child Safe Standards and ethical leadership
• Flexible working hours - need to close the centre somestimes
