Experienced Electrical Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE

ASSEMBLEPOINT PHILIPPINES, INC. is looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to support the production, testing, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our electric vehicles at our manufacturing facility in Carmona, Cavite.

This is a hands-on technical position. Relevant professional electrical experience is mandatory.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Install, inspect, test, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, components, wiring, and equipment used in electric vehicles.
• Diagnose electrical faults, determine their root causes, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Support the assembly, testing, quality inspection, commissioning, and repair of electric vehicles.
• Read, interpret, prepare, and update electrical diagrams, wiring schematics, technical drawings, and equipment specifications.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient vehicle and equipment operation.
• Provide immediate technical support for electrical problems encountered during production, testing, delivery, and vehicle operation.
• Work closely with the Production, Quality Assurance, Engineering, and After-Sales teams to resolve technical issues.
• Prepare and maintain inspection reports, test results, maintenance records, repair histories, and other technical documentation.
• Recommend improvements to vehicle electrical systems, wiring, safety, reliability, production processes, and overall performance.
• Ensure compliance with applicable electrical standards, safety requirements, company procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Report technical problems, risks, corrective actions, and project progress to management.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related engineering field.
• Relevant professional electrical experience is mandatory.
• At least three years of hands-on experience in electrical engineering, automotive electrical systems, electric vehicles, manufacturing, industrial equipment, maintenance, or a closely related technical environment.
• Proven experience in electrical installation, inspection, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair.
• Ability to read and understand electrical diagrams, wiring schematics, technical drawings, and equipment specifications.
• Strong knowledge of electrical safety, testing instruments, preventive maintenance, and fault diagnosis.
• Strong analytical, technical, and practical problem-solving skills.
• Ability to identify root causes and implement effective corrective solutions.
• Good documentation and technical reporting skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Filipino.
• Responsible, organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
• Willing to perform hands-on technical work in a manufacturing environment.
• Willing to work on-site in Carmona, Cavite.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

Candidates with practical experience in any of the following areas will be given priority:

• Electric vehicles or automotive electrical systems
• Batteries and battery management systems
• Electric motors and motor controllers
• Vehicle wiring harnesses
• Charging systems
• Low-voltage DC electrical systems
• Vehicle diagnostics and troubleshooting
• Manufacturing or production-line electrical support
• Quality inspection and vehicle testing
