We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Experienced Estimator to join our dynamic construction team. Responsibilities

• Review and interpret detailed construction blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to accurately estimate project costs.
• Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid, Bluebeam, and other construction management tools to prepare comprehensive bid proposals.
• Develop precise material cost estimates by analyzing blueprints and technical documents, ensuring all material requirements are accounted for.
• Manage project estimates from initial concept through final bid submission, including pricing adjustments and value engineering.
• Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams through effective negotiation to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
• Monitor project budgets during execution to ensure cost control and identify potential overruns early.
• Prepare detailed spreadsheets and reports using Microsoft Office tools to communicate estimates clearly and facilitate decision-making.
• Review construction drawings thoroughly for accuracy, feasibility, and compliance with industry standards before estimating costs.
• Assist in managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high accuracy and attention to detail.
• Stay updated on industry trends, material costs, and new estimating techniques to continuously improve estimation accuracy.

Skills

• Extensive experience with construction estimating software such as HeavyBid, Bluebeam, Xactimate, and other industry-standard tools.
• Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, and estimating material requirements from blueprints.
• Proven ability to manage projects as a construction estimator with a focus on commercial construction.
• Excellent negotiation skills for securing competitive pricing with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel spreadsheets for detailed cost analysis and reporting.
• Deep understanding of construction management software systems for project tracking and cost control.
• Solid background in construction industry practices with hands-on site experience preferred.
• Expertise in cost management, estimating construction project budgets, material cost estimating, and pricing strategies.
• Ability to review construction drawings critically for accuracy and completeness while assessing scope of work.
• Strong client communication skills to present estimates clearly and negotiate effectively throughout the bidding process.
• Knowledge of Xactimate or similar estimating platforms used in property or insurance-related estimations is a plus.
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy under tight deadlines.
