We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Evening Shift Cook to join our team at an assisted living and independent living community in Oak Ridge, TN. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on food quality and exceptional customer service, ensuring that our residents receive nutritious, delicious meals in a warm and welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines for assisted living and independent living residents.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and safety during the evening shift.
• Ensure all food preparation areas are clean, organized, and comply with health and safety regulations.
• Work closely with kitchen staff and management to accommodate special dietary needs and preferences.
• Provide excellent customer service by engaging with residents and responding to their meal-related requests or concerns.
• Monitor inventory and report any shortages or issues to management.
• Assist with closing duties, including cleaning and securing the kitchen area at the end of the shift.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a cook, preferably in an assisted living or healthcare setting.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to food quality and safety.
• Ability to work the evening shift reliably and efficiently.
• Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.
• Knowledge of dietary restrictions and special meal preparation is a plus.
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
