Experienced Excavator Operators

An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced Excavator Operator to join a well-established and respected civil and earthworks contractor working across a range of bulk earthworks projects.

This position involves operating excavators across a variety of large-scale earthworks projects, including bulk excavation, cut and fill, site preparation, and general earthmoving. The successful candidate will be confident working across different environments and capable of producing high-quality work with minimal supervision.

The ideal applicant will have strong excavator operating experience and be highly competent using GPS machine control systems. A high level of accuracy is essential, particularly when carrying out excavation, shaping, trimming, and finishing work to specification.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating a range of excavators and attachments safely and efficiently
• Carrying out detailed final trim and finishing work to a high standard
• Using GPS machine control systems confidently and accurately
• Assisting with general civil and earthworks activities as required
• Completing daily machine checks and maintaining equipment standards
• Working closely with site supervisors and ground crews to ensure projects run smoothly
• Maintaining a strong focus on health, safety, and site procedures at all times

Requirements

• Proven experience operating excavators within civil or earthworks environments
• GPS machine control experience
• Ability to complete final trim work to a high standard
• Experience operating machines ranging from small to large excavators
• Good understanding of site safety and operational procedures
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively within a team environment
• Class 2 licence and WTR endorsements advantageous
