Experienced Farm Worker – Mixed Beef & Sheep Farm

Location: Peak District

We are looking for an experienced, reliable and hardworking Farm Worker to join our team on a mixed beef and sheep farm in the beautiful Peak District.

The successful candidate must have proven practical farming experience, be confident working with livestock and have strong tractor and forklift driving skills. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who can work independently, use their initiative and contribute to the smooth day-to-day running of the farm.

Key Responsibilities

• Day-to-day care and management of beef cattle and sheep.
• Feeding, bedding, handling and moving livestock while maintaining high standards of animal welfare.
• Tractor driving for feeding, mucking out, fieldwork and general farm duties.
• Forklift driving to move feed, bales, materials and other farm supplies.
• Operating and maintaining farm machinery and equipment.
• General farm maintenance, including buildings, fencing, yards and livestock housing.
• Assisting with seasonal work, including silage, haymaking and lambing.
• Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working environment.

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience working on a livestock farm is essential.
• Good practical experience with beef cattle and sheep.
• Confident and competent tractor driver with experience operating farm machinery.
• Experienced forklift operator, with relevant certification where required.
• A practical, hardworking and responsible approach to farm work.
• Ability to work independently, use initiative and work well as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work additional hours during busy seasonal periods.

A full UK driving licence is preferred.
