Experienced Finish Carpenter

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Finish Carpenter for residential projects in the greater Pittsburgh area (within a 1-hour radius of downtown). The primary focus is high-quality kitchen cabinet installation along with related finish work. The right person takes pride in their craftsmanship, can work without constant supervision, and consistently delivers clean, professional results.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete kitchen cabinet installation, including upper and lower cabinets, fillers, skins/end panels, toe kicks, crown molding, scribing, and all associated trim
• Install hardware, adjust doors and drawers, and ensure cabinets are level, plumb, and properly aligned
• Perform drywall installation, finishing, and repair as needed
• Install various types of flooring (hardwood, laminate, vinyl plank, etc.)
• Complete interior trim work, including baseboards, door and window casings, and other finish details
• Measure, cut, and fit materials accurately to walls and floors that are out of square
• Read and follow blueprints, shop drawings, and job specifications
• Keep the job site clean, organized, and safe
• Work efficiently as part of a crew while taking ownership of the quality of your own work

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years of hands-on finish carpentry experience
• Solid experience installing kitchen cabinets (fillers, toe kicks, skins, crown, etc.)
• Comfortable with drywall, flooring, and trim work
• Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and finish nailers
• Able to work without constant supervision — you can be given a task and complete it to a high standard
• Does not need to manage jobs, run a crew, or operate fully independently
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
• Must be able to work jobs within a 1-hour radius of downtown Pittsburgh
• Must have a clean background (background check required)
• Ability to lift and carry materials up to 50+ lbs
• Own basic hand tools preferred

Skills Test

Qualified candidates will be asked to complete a hands-on skills test in our training area. The test includes boarding a room, installing a set of cabinets, and trimming the room.
