Experienced Forklift Driver / Warehouse Loader

About the Opportunity

Octopus Labour Solutions is currently seeking an experienced Forklift Driver / Warehouse Loader on behalf of our client, a leading transport and logistics company.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly experienced warehouse professional who is confident operating a forklift, loading and unloading freight, and working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

The successful candidate will be employed directly by our client and will become part of their established warehouse operations team.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently load and unload freight using a forklift
• Assist with general warehouse and freight handling duties
• Check inbound freight to ensure all goods have been received correctly
• Ensure freight is handled accurately and efficiently
• Check that incoming freight has the correct paperwork
• Follow all workplace health and safety requirements
• Comply with Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and relevant legislative requirements
• Work collaboratively with the warehouse team to meet daily operational requirements
• Maintain a high level of accuracy and productivity in a fast-paced environment

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

• A valid forklift licence (LF)
• Strong and proven forklift operating experience
• Previous warehouse, freight or transport industry experience
• Experience loading and unloading freight
• A strong commitment to workplace health and safety
• A positive, can-do attitude
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• The ability to multitask and work under pressure
• A proactive approach and willingness to get the job done
